Amanda Pritchard Appointed as NHS England Chief Executive

NHS England announced yesterday, 1st August, that Amanda Pritchard has been appointed as the next Chief Executive Officer of NHS England.

Mrs Pritchard is the first woman CEO of NHS England and takes over from Lord Stevens who was in post for 7 years.

She began her NHS career as a graduate management trainee in 1997. Prior to this new appointment, she was the NHS’ Chief Operating Officer (COO) for two years.
