N.F.O.P's charity
The National Federation of Occupational Pensioners' Welfare Fund is a registered charity which was set up to benefit former employees of Royal Mail and BT who experience financial hardship. The Charity is also open to all members who have joined the Federation. The Fund is administered by 4 Trustees who are the National Chairman of the Federation, General Secretary of the Federation, plus two Trustees appointed by the National Executive Committee of the Federation. The Trustees are responsible for determining the guidelines which ensure that the Funds are administered appropriately and for appointing the Welfare Committee to deal with claims upon the Fund. The Committee consider each application on its own merits as quickly as possible to minimize delays.

Over the past year the Fund has helped pensioners to replace items such as household furniture and white goods, it has helped with household repairs and the purchase of mobility aids often together with other charities such as the Rowland Hill Fund and the BT Benevolent Fund. Often the modest grant made can make the difference between despair and hope.
